Litter Pick Up

On Saturday 17th April some members did a socially distanced litter picking of all the waste land in front of Western Harbour View.  Six bin bags were filled with the help of a resident of Western Harbour development next door, Archie, standing on the left in the photo.  He is a regular litter picker and fund raises by doing so in what is called Beat the Beast Challenge (https://www.beatthebeastchallenge.co.uk).  He found a £10 note during the litter picking.  So that went towards his donation to the Disaster Emergencies Committee.

Also, our secretary has contacted Forth Ports, who own the Lighthouse Park, and asked them to provide more bins so that litter does not overspill them at busy times and get scattered around by sea gulls rummaging for food.  They promised to do something about it
