The courtyard is undergoing a major refurbishment. For many years, water has been leaking into the underground car park causing significant damage to the supporting steel beams. The main culprit has been the water feature, which was never operational. This has now been removed. The next stage is to construct additional drainage points, insert a new waterproof membrane where required and the exposed area that was the water feature, turfed over. We had hoped to replant the trees that required to be removed. Unfortunately, most of these were too heavy to remove without damaging the surface of the courtyard with the required heavy lifting equipment. One tree was saved and replanted.
